Frida Kahlo Portrait
This portrait is hand cut from archival paper with a brilliant teal background.
Measuring 8×10″ and available framed or unframed, this portrait is a showstopper.
Frida looks off to the side while resting her chin in hand. Rings and embroidery adorn her clothing and hand, while her hair wraps in braids on the crown of her head.
These are the first pieces available to ship framed or unframed.
IF YOU CHOOSE UNFRAMED, PLEASE take note: they are delicate pieces of fine Japanese art papers and should only be handled by someone with framing or art handling experience. Squirrel Tacos will not replace art damaged after the package is opened. If your unframed work arrives damaged, please contact me before opening.
The Amulet Collection
An amulet, also known as a good luck charm, is an object believed to confer protection upon its possessor. The word “amulet” comes from the Latin word amuletum, which Pliny’s Natural History describes as “an object that protects a person from trouble”.
Each piece in The Amulet Collection is chosen for it’s powers of healing, luck, strength, fortune, self preservation, or powers of good will.
Each was made with an affirmation and wish that the purchaser be protected and showered in joy, health, and fortune.
